Facial filler should still look natural when you smile, speak, and laugh. The Teoxane RHA® Collection was developed with movement in mind, using resilient hyaluronic acid gels that adapt through facial expressions while adding support where it is needed.
At Skin Deep Medical Spa, RHA fillers give our injectors another way to soften dynamic facial lines, restore volume, and refine contours without making your features look stiff or overfilled. Every treatment is planned around your facial structure, movement, and preferences at our Highland Park and Glenview locations.
Flexible Support for Expressive Features
RHA stands for resilient hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in your skin and helps retain moisture. RHA products use a gentle manufacturing process called Preserved Network Technology to preserve the gel's structure and qualities of natural hyaluronic acid.
The collection includes formulas with different levels of softness and support for lines around the mouth, deeper folds, lips, and midface volume.
RHA fillers are FDA-approved for specific indications in adults aged 22 and older. The approved uses vary by formula, so your injector will recommend a product based on the area being treated, the depth of placement, and the type of correction needed.
Movement Meets Structure
The tissue around your mouth, nose, and cheeks moves throughout the day. Dynamic wrinkles appear with facial expressions. Static lines remain visible when the face is at rest. Both can be influenced by volume loss. RHA gel is formulated to stretch and recover as nearby tissue moves, helping the result look natural through changing expressions.
Once injected, the gel adds controlled volume beneath the skin. Depending on the formula and placement, it may soften a crease, support a contour, or refine the lips. It does not relax muscle activity as Botox does.
A Softer Kind of Correction
RHA filler treatment can be adjusted for fine, mobile lines or areas that need greater structural support. Potential benefits include:
Our injectors consider the amount and placement alongside the product, keeping nearby features in proportion.
One Collection, Distinct Options
The collection includes several formulas. Ask your injector which products are available and suitable for your treatment.
RHA Redensity treats moderate to severe dynamic perioral lines, the vertical creases around the mouth. It is placed superficially for precise correction in delicate tissue.
RHA 2 is a flexible gel for moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds.
RHA 3 adds support while retaining flexibility. It is approved for moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds and for lip augmentation, including fullness and border definition.
RHA Dynamic Volume supports cheek augmentation, age-related midface contour changes, and moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds.
Where Expression Leaves Its Mark
RHA fillers may address lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds or smile lines running from the nose toward the corners of the mouth, lip shape and fullness, cheek volume, and age-related midface contour changes. The exact treatment areas depend on the selected product’s FDA-approved indications and your anatomy.
A line near the mouth can reflect movement, volume loss, or skin quality. Your injector will assess your face at rest and in motion before recommending placement. For a lip-focused plan, see Skin Deep's lip filler treatments.
RHA, Juvéderm, or Botox?
RHA and Juvéderm are both families of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers with different textures and approved uses. RHA is formulated for resilience in frequently moving areas. Juvéderm offers options for lips, cheeks, facial folds, chin definition, and other approved concerns. Your anatomy and desired correction guide the choice.
Botox Cosmetic works differently. It temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles that create expression lines, while RHA adds volume within the tissue. A crease caused primarily by muscle contraction may respond to Botox. A fold, hollow, or contour change that needs physical support may respond better to filler. Some treatment plans use both in different areas.
Skin Deep's dermal filler overview covers additional injectable options.
Planned Around Your Face
Adults age 22 and older seeking to soften dynamic lines, restore midface volume, or refine the lips may be candidates. Your injector will review your medical history, allergies, medications, previous filler, dental plans, and current skin condition.
RHA should not be used in people with severe allergies, a history of anaphylaxis or multiple severe allergies, certain allergies to bacterial proteins or amide-type local anesthetics, or bleeding disorders. Treatment should be postponed when infection or active inflammation is present near the injection area. Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Your provider will determine if treatment is appropriate and discuss relevant risks before proceeding.
Give It Time to Settle
Swelling, tenderness, redness, firmness, small bumps, bruising, itching, or temporary discomfort can occur after RHA injections. Most reactions reported in clinical studies were mild to moderate and resolved within 14 days. Lip treatment often produces more noticeable early swelling than treatment in other areas.
Follow your provider's instructions about exercise, heat, alcohol, and pressure on the area. Discuss the timing of dental work, laser treatment, or a chemical peel.
Serious complications are uncommon, but filler entering a blood vessel can cause tissue injury, vision changes, blindness, or stroke. Seek immediate medical attention for unusual or increasing pain, blanching or mottled skin, changes in vision, or signs of a stroke during or after treatment.
Immediate Volume, Softer Finish
RHA creates visible volume immediately, although swelling can temporarily exaggerate the correction. The result becomes easier to evaluate as the tissue settles over the following days and weeks. Properly selected and placed RHA filler should soften the targeted area while preserving the movement and character of your face.
Longevity varies by formula, area, facial movement, and metabolism. Clinical data support results lasting up to approximately 15 months in treated facial wrinkles and folds, though individual outcomes vary. Maintenance can be planned as the effect fades.
A Personalized Investment
RHA filler cost depends on the formula, number of syringes, and areas treated. A small correction may require less product than cheek augmentation or a multi-area plan.
Skin Deep provides personalized pricing after an injector evaluates your anatomy and discusses the recommended product, expected correction, and maintenance.

RHA products are hyaluronic acid fillers and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase when medically appropriate. Dissolving filler is a clinical procedure with its own risks and should be performed by a qualified medical provider.
RHA gels are made with a process intended to preserve more of the hyaluronic acid network, creating resilience through areas that move frequently. Other filler families also offer flexible and structural formulas. Your anatomy, treatment area, and desired correction determine which option is most appropriate.
Yes. RHA Redensity, RHA 2, and RHA 3 have approved uses involving dynamic lines, folds, or lip tissue. Natural-looking results depend on choosing the right formula, placing it at the proper depth, and using an amount that suits your features.
Yes, when both treatments fit your anatomy and concerns. RHA can restore volume or soften folds, while Botox addresses selected muscle activity. Your injector may recommend separate areas or staggered appointments depending on the plan.
