Vampire Facelift

What is the Vampire Facelift ®?

The Vampire Facelift® is a procedure that involves withdrawing a patient’s own blood, processing it to create platelet-rich plasma (PRP), then re-injecting it to improve the color, texture and tone of your skin creating a more youthful look.

How does the Vampire Facelift ® work?

The process starts with a careful assessment of your medical history and skin concerns. After determining you are a candidate for this treatment, blood is taken similar to a normal laboratory blood draw. This blood is then processed in our COLA certified moderately complex laboratory in a centrifuge which spins down your blood. We separate the blood components, filtering the portion of blood which is called platelet rich plasma or PRP. The PRP has a large amount of platelets (cells that help clot your blood when bleeding) and are very rich in growth factors and stem cells. After being activated the PRP is re-injected into the face in conjunction with a hyaluronic acid filler to simulate an injury which will help the body create new blood vessels and blood flow. It will also stimulate collagen production to help improve the texture of the skin.

Is the Vampire Facelift ® safe?

Yes, the Vampire Facelift ® is safe. PRP treatments work very well and one of its main appeals is that it uses what is naturally found in your skin, therefore the risk of the adverse reaction is much less than with other treatments.

What results are typical after the Vampire Facelift ® procedure?

Most patients notice enhanced skin tone, improved skin texture, improved skin quality and overall younger looking skin.
