What is Kybella™?
Kybella™ is the first and only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin”.
How does Kybella™ work?
Kybella™ is injected into the fat beneath the chin, causing the destruction of fat cells resulting in a more contoured chin profile. The active ingredient in Kybella™ is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat.
How many Kybella™ treatments will I need?
We will help you determine how many treatments you will need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal goals. Up to 6 treatments may be administered, spaced no less than one month apart.
What can I expect after my Kybella™ treatment?
For most patients, downtime most commonly occurred after the first treatment and was less common for subsequent treatments. You should be able to resume your normal daily activities, but swelling in the treatment area is common. Bruising, numbness and redness may also occur in the treatment area.
